Daily Shutdown

Daily Shutdown is an end-of-day reflection flow. It helps users close the day intentionally and start a structured journal entry.

The Shutdown button appears in supported page headers next to the New Note action for premium users who have not already completed a shutdown for the day. Its sunset icon remains orange in both light and dark themes.

Flow

  1. Choose a mood.
  2. Choose where most of the day was spent.
  3. Choose the weather context.
  4. Choose a reflection category.
  5. Select Wrap it up.

Notaday opens /journal/new with the selected values in the query string. The journal editor reads those values and prepares the new journal entry metadata.

Required Inputs

The flow requires all four values before the user can continue:

  • Mood
  • Location
  • Weather
  • Reflection category
